From the Bear Creek to the Rowan Creek and beyond, the Aldo Leopold Chapter of Trout Unlimited brings people together to care for and recover their waters through local conservation and community science projects. We are making our trout populations stronger, our water cleaner, and our communities healthier.

The Aldo Leopold Chapter is based in Sauk, Columbia & Dodge Counties in southern Wisconsin and holds a range of fun, free and family-friendly events and activities. Whether you swing by a social event or presentation, spend time on the water fishing with us, or get your hands dirty volunteering on a local project, all are welcome!

When you take part in Aldo Leopold Chapter activities, you are helping drive conservation of Southern Wisconsin’s rivers and streams. The same rivers that sustain trout bring clean water into our homes, give life to vibrant communities, and feed a passion for the outdoors.
Our rivers, streams and our fisheries face enormous challenges. At Trout Unlimited, we are doing something about it.
Working together as volunteers and with TU staff and partners in our Priority Waters, we advocate for our rivers and streams, restore our stream habitat, plant native trees, help connect kids to the outdoors and so much more.
We are a community of optimists who have a ton of fun along the way. Whether you are passionate about wild and native fish, inspired by the wonder of our rivers, or dedicated to clean water, we invite you to be a part of our mission.
